Hidden Traces
This documentary series uses cutting edge technology to shed new light on historical conflicts and the characters who lived through them with each episode dealing with a specific event or period in history. The viewer learns what daily life was really like for the common footsoldier during WWI as archeaologists bring their stories to life. An analysis of Napoleon's strategy and the impact of the weather reveal why he was defeated by Wellington at Waterloo. Traces of the remains of Hitler's destroyed retreat on the Obersalzberg uncover the extent of the vast structural complex where he spent time with his mistress, Eva Braun. And, many years after the conflict in Vietnam, secret tunnels and unexploded bombs can still be found.
